MAYIM support, close to home
Is MAYIM a registered NDIS provider?
Not yet. MAYIM has applied to become a registered NDIS provider and is currently being assessed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission against the NDIS Practice Standards. In the meantime, we can support plan-managed and self-managed participants, and we’ll update this page and display our provider ID as soon as registration is confirmed.
Which areas does MAYIM service?
We provide support across Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo in Victoria, and the Albury–Wodonga border region of Victoria and New South Wales — with local NDIS support workers near you in each area.
What services do you offer?
Personal care, community nursing, daily living support, supported independent living (SIL), support coordination, and community access & transport. You can explore them all on our Services page.
Do you support people with complex or high-intensity needs?
Yes. MAYIM supports people with high-intensity physical and neurological disabilities — including spinal cord injury (quadriplegia, tetraplegia and high-level paraplegia), motor neurone disease (MND), advanced multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, cerebral palsy (GMFCS Levels IV and V), traumatic brain injury, severe epilepsy and advanced muscular dystrophies such as Duchenne and Becker. Workers delivering these supports complete training aligned to the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors, with clinical oversight from our community nursing team.
Can you help with PEG feeding, catheter care or seizure management?
Yes. Our high-intensity supports include enteral (PEG) feeding, urinary catheter and other invasive device management, complex bowel care, pressure-injury prevention, and seizure management under an individual epilepsy management plan — including emergency midazolam administration where workers are trained and authorised. All of these supports are delivered to your care plan with oversight from our nurses, as part of personal care and community nursing.
Do you support self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed participants?
Yes — we work with all three. If you’re not sure how your plan is managed, we can help you work it out.
How do I get started?
It’s simple. See our How it works page, or book a free consultation and we’ll guide you from there.
Can I choose and meet my support worker?
Absolutely. We hand-pick workers to match your needs and personality, and you’ll see their photo and bio — and meet them — before the first shift.
How quickly can support start?
We move as quickly as we can. At your first call we’ll give you a realistic timeframe based on your needs and your location.
Do you provide aged care or home care packages?
No — MAYIM is a dedicated disability support provider. We focus entirely on supporting NDIS participants, so our training, rostering and quality systems are built around the NDIS Practice Standards rather than aged-care programs. If you’re looking for aged care or a Home Care Package, we’re happy to point you toward the right services.
Can I meet a support worker before support starts?
Yes — and we encourage it. We offer a free, no-obligation meet-and-greet before any regular supports begin, and new workers can start with buddy shifts alongside a worker you already know and trust. You always have a say in who supports you.
What if I’m not happy with my support worker?
Just tell us. We’ll listen, make it right, and re-match you with someone who’s a better fit — no awkwardness, no fuss.
How is my personal information protected?
We handle your information in line with Australian privacy law and the NDIS Code of Conduct, and only share it with your consent.
